Safety & Testing

Your child’s safety is the most important thing in the world. That’s why we go the extra mile when it comes to allergen testing, to ensure we don’t have any ‘may contain’ disclaimers. We follow strict product safety procedures to ensure our product is safe for little ones to consume and enjoy…

Every batch we make is:

  • Made in the highest grade factory in Somerset (BRC grade AA accreditation)
  • The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is an annually audited certification program that focuses on setting high standards for food safety, quality and operational criteria within the company to ensure utmost legal compliance and consumer protection. It is the benchmark standard for best practice within the food manufacturing industry and is the basis upon which our robust QMS (Quality Management System) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) program is based.
  • Tested at every step of the process. This is conducted through a combination of onsite swabbing and lab testing.
  • A safe and trusted supply chain managed via our BRC grade AA accredited manufacturer.
  • Stored and transported in the safest ambient conditions
  • Checked and verified by our amazing team of risk and regulatory experts

What we test for:

  • Allergens: To ensure we’re free from milk (combined casein and Beta Lactoglobulin), egg, gluten, soya, peanuts and tree nuts (9 nut screening)
  • Micros: Nasties that could make your little one sick like cronobacter, listeria and E.Coli
  • Vitamins & minerals: So all the claims about these we make are true and validated
  • Heavy metals & chemical contaminants: So there are no nasty chemicals or pesticides in our product
  • Shelf life: So you know your Grow with Iris is going to last as long as we say it will!
